About this Project

The product is a cloud-based restaurant management software solution on mobile and web that helps the restaurant industry people manage their operations from point-of-sale systems to back-office functions.

Since the Brand acquired the product, we've been working on bringing together the brand's design system and products’ valuable data insights.

After the dashboard and menu, this time I worked on the mobile app login screen rebranding.

Challenges

  • The current mobile app is used by several enterprises, small businesses, and individual users.
  • The challenge was to update the login and landing screens with a new look and feel.

Goals

  • Redesign the existing mobile app login screen with a new brand design system and make it more intuitive.
  • Enable the security of mobile login features like biometric authentication.
  • Make the log-in process more user-friendly.

The Approach

  • The login form and the validation in the login page, since this is a product login we don't need to add a registration link.
  • First-time login: Ask the user to enable Face ID or Touch ID for the authentication, with the option to skip if they choose.
  • First-time login: asking that they enable push notifications for account activity, with the option to skip if they choose.
  • Once the Touch ID or Face ID is set up: the ID authentication option will be implemented within the login form. Users can log in thru bio authentication by just clicking the icons.
